I am currently a professor and chair of the CS Department at Colby College. I'm also the Dual-Degree Engineering Program advisor, so any students interested in our programs with Dartmouth or Columbia should check out the Dual-Degree Information page as well as the associated program web sites and then talk with me about their pre-engineering coursework.
My teaching and research interests include Computer Vision, Robotics, Computer Graphics, Game Design, and Data Analysis and Visualization. Recently, I have been working with the Concussion Institute at Colby College and the Maine Concussion Management Initiative [MCMI] on analyzing and monitoring concussions in high school and college athletes as well as using measurements of balance to quickly identify potential concussions.
Outside of the classroom and lab I enjoy swimming, running, biking, hiking, birding, carpentry, and gardening.
