Projects are larger programming (and often writing) assignments. Labs provide structured time each week to get started with instructor and TA support. See Labs for lab check-in procedures.

Submission platform: Google Classroom.
You are given a total budget of 8 late days to use across all projects during the semester.
Per project:
Projects submitted more than 2 days late or after your late-day budget is exhausted will not be graded.
If you experience extenuating circumstances, please contact your instructor as soon as possible. Documentation from your class dean may be required.
All out-of-class work in this course is intended as practice for work you will be asked to complete in class, where generative AI or other external assistance will not be permitted.
This course has a strongly suggested guideline for generative AI use on out-of-class work: don’t use it.
Writing your own code—even when imperfect—is the most effective way to learn the material and prepare for in-class assessments.
Discuss ideas widely, but write your own code. Collaboration should happen in English, not in programming syntax.
If concerns arise, I may ask you to meet to discuss your approach. These conversations are reflective and supportive, not punitive.
All submitted work must be your own and unique. Copied work is treated as academic dishonesty.
Please approach in-class quizzes with integrity and curiosity about your learning.
See Colby’s Academic Integrity policies for full details.
